Peter Loevy & Michael Dale of Step Up To The Plate were honored and presented with awards by Broad Street Ministry CEO Laure Biron at the BSM Gala on October 27, 2022.
Peter & Michael were both integral in Step Up To The Plate, which was a collaborative effort between Broad Street Ministry, SEAMAAC, & Prevention Point Philadelphia, working closely with the City of Philadelphia to provide free lunches to our communities throughout the pandemic. From April of 2020 through the end of 2021, Step Up provided 878,165 free meals to individuals and families hit hardest by the pandemic in Philadelphia.
Peter’s gratitude for the award is accompanied by admiration for our team here at CBD who were onboard with the opportunity. With the pandemic bringing about completely unpredictable times, our entire team from sales to the kitchen helped with prepping, cooking, packing & delivering meals. An extra special thanks to our General Manager, Michael Dernoga, and Executive Chef, Roth Perelman, who were vital in CBD’s involvement in Step Up.
