Wall Ball 2023 was a night to remember! This year the hit series Def Poetry Jam was revived, and the night featured powerful performances by a series of vocalists and spoken word artists. Artist & original Def Poetry Jam co-producer Danny Simmons Jr., author & activist Sonia Sanchez, and Septa CEO Leslie Richards were honored and recognized for their contributions. Other amazing entertainment included live mural paintings, live poem writing, and aerialists. This event was a true celebration of the transformative power of public art!
Four distinct dinner stations with decor by garnish were available, with each offering delicious flavors from around Philadelphia. Guests were taken on a culinary trip through Fishtown, Chinatown, West Philly, and the Italian Market, and each station showcased a mural from that section of the city. Lastly, who could forget the liquid nitrogen ice cream and donut flambe station?!
