Seetal and Sam kicked off their wedding weekend celebrating at the Michener Art Museum with mehndi, music, cocktails, and a menu filled with South and North Indian cuisine! Our Executive Chef, Roth Perelman and his team researched and dined at a few popular Indian restaurants in the city to develop the perfect menu for Seetal and Sam.
The cocktail hour menu consisted of Onion Bhaji, Dhai Puri, Lollipop Garam Masala Lamb Chops, Tandori Chicken Skewers, Bengali Salmon Fingers, Spiced Potato Tikkis, and Pickling Spices Braised Beef Short Rib Skewers. If you thought that sounded delcious wait until you hear the dinner menu!
As the cocktails flowed and the excitement mounted, the rain stopped and guests were surprised with a rainbow. While some gathered for photos just outside the Edgar N. Putman Pavilion, others jumped first in line for dinner. There were three dinner stations that had guests grabbing seconds and thirds! The first station was the “Street Food” station which consisted of Chicken Kattu Roti, Pav Bahji Sliders, and Lamb Keema Sliders. Next up was our South Indian Station with Chettinad Chicken, Kerala Shrimp, and Lemon Basmati Rice. And of course we saved the best for last, our North Indian Station that consisted of Chole, Saag Paneer, Chicken Biryani, Basmati Rice, and Naan Bread.
