Our Executive Pastry Chef, Elizabeth Yee, has created the most adorably scrumptious dessert for With Warm Welcome’s Baker Box!
With Warm Welcome’s mission is to amplify Asian American chefs, restaurateurs, and founders. Bakers Box Philadelphia is the 5th Volume of this amazing program that features desserts from 18 local Asian American chefs. Liz delivered 100 pieces of Luk Chup to Fork Restaurant in Philadelphia on July 26 for the sold-out boxes. Luk Chup is a Thai Dessert, traditionally made with yellow mung bean, coconut milk, and sugar. Liz put a seasonal spin on it and included sweet corn which she shaped into a mini ear of corn. She popped sorghum which looks like miniature popcorn, and placed it all on top of a honey corn cake. We are so proud of Liz’s creativity, talents and her involvement with this organization.
